I’ve seen this issue some up a few times on the VMTN forums so I’ve explained the reasons why this is disabled by default ans how to enable it in the blog post. I’ve also published a video at the bottom of the page.Copy and paste is disabled between the VM console and Windows VMs by default.
Pasting into a console. The problem is that you can't initiate clipboard actions from javascript, for security reasons. All you can do is react to user actions - so you can catch the paste action, and redirect the content somewhere on the page, but you can't wire up a button that says 'get the current clipboard contents. Pasting clipboard contents into Nano requires shift+right click or shift+insert. You can mark blocks of text in Nano by clicking the mouse. You cannot select text with the mouse to copy it to the Clipboard (a PuTTY function), but you can mark text in Nano and copy it to the buffer with Ctrl + K, so you can paste with Ctrl + U.
